The
latest addition to the Tiny-Silver Collection is this suite of 1/12th scale
reproductions of George III silver gilt tableware.
The full size centre piece was originally produced by Paul Storr in London
in 1815. The triangular base has three bracket feet applied with lion masks.
Floral fastoons and caryatid figures hold the circular dish with chased and
fluted decorating echoing an original by this very famous goldsmith.
The
centre piece would have been flanked by a pair of silver gilt dessert stands
and accompanied by a pair of entree dishes forming a superb suite for the banqueting
table
